I can't believe I have to make this video. But too many of you don't seem to know what a costume is. So let's cover what it is not. If you were sent this video, you know what you did. First ladies. I don't care how cute you look in that little black dress. Adding Mickey Mouse ears does not make it a costume. Or cat ears. Even with a little bit of nose makeup. And men. First off, wearing a costume is not unmanly. You're not too old for it. then that just shows that it takes confidence to do so. Which is manly. Now on to specifics. Sunglasses and suit does not make you a secret agent, nor James Bond. It just means zero effort, zero confidence. Go change. A Superman shirt under a button down is not a costume, unless you've got the full suit under there, and plan on giving us a show. Speaking of t-shirts, no single t-shirt is a costume, especially not ones that say this is my costume. General rule for everyone. a normal outfit below the neck, a costume it is not. This includes vampire fangs, fake moustaches, hats, antennas, wigs. If it isn't paired with other clothing that you would not normally wear, it's not a costume. Go change. In fact, let's make it even broader. No single accessory makes a costume. Not a cape, not a cloak, not even a lab coat. And finally, I don't care what you wrote on that poster board or piece of paper. If it isn't paired with an outfit that you would not normally wear, go change. Send this to someone who needs to hear it.
