Debunking the Vaccines Cause Autism Myth

Video link

What I believe is irrelevant. What the science says is relevant. And right now the abundance of science, the amount of scientific study links autism to early vaccination with certain vaccines. I'm going to teach you how to debunk the vaccines cause autism myth in under 60 seconds. It began with this paper, claiming that in healthy children, the inactivated measles virus vaccine could lead towards gut inflammation, which then causes developmental regression. The paper demonstrated this sequence in 8 out of 12 children, or did it. The paper claimed that all 12 were previously normal. Medical records show that 5 had pre-existing developmental conditions. In nine cases, when hospital pathologists examined the gut samples taken from the children, they reported no abnormalities. This was changed by Wakefield to nonspecific colitis, which means potentially life-altering conditions like ulcerative colitis or Crohn's. aggressive autism symptoms developed. But for most, records show first symptoms developing many months after the shot. And three children were never diagnosed with autism at all. The paper reported that eight parents blamed MMR. Hospital records show that 11 made that claim. But eight out of 12 is more believable. Finally, it makes sense that 11 parents would blame MMR because, unlike the paper's claim, these were not normal referrals. They were recruited by anti-MMR groups trying to make bank by suing the vaccine manufacturers. And since then, a meta-analysis of 10 studies that no link exists between vaccines and autism. Follow for more actual science.

Additional notes

Replying to @Beatrice the Anti-Plastic Lady Many might respond by saying “well that study was bad, but now other studies have shown the link! Any my/my friend’s child developed autism right after getting the MMR vaccin!” To those I would say 1. The MMR vaccine is typically given to children at the same age that we would expect to start seeing autism symptoms develop. 2. Any parent self reporting the development of autism symptoms soon after vaccination should not be blamed for thinking the two linked–that’s just how the human brain works. 3. To ACTUALLY DETERMINE CAUSATION, we need to evaluate a large sample size and see if there is an increased frequency of said symptoms developing after vaccination vs before. 4. ⬆️ This has been done. No causual link has been found. 5. The main reason other studies were even looking for said link is due to the retracted Wakefield paper that this video addresses. 6. To see the other studies on the link, look at this meta analysis: DOI: 10.1016/j.vaccine.2014.04.085 I just published a 7-part series going into this original study in more detail. The compilation video will be up on YT soon. ⚠️ NOTE: If you are someone who wants to debate any part of this, you are allowed to do so in the comments so long as you speak respectfully and cite sources. #vaccines #autism #science #learnontiktok #whofides #edutok
